Request for Reconsideration

The library carefully evaluates customer suggestions to consider removing or reclassifying material in the library collection. Individuals who are residents of Loudoun County and current LCPL cardholders are eligible to submit a request for reconsideration. Requests may be submitted for any individual title the library holds in physical or digital form. Individuals may have one active request for reconsideration in process at any time. If multiple requests are submitted, they will be processed in the order they are received.

For more information, customers may consult the Loudoun County Public Library Collection Management policy available online in the Library Policies, as well as the American Library Association’s (ALA) Library Bill of Rights, the ALA’s Freedom to Read statement, and the ALA’s Access to Library Resources and Services for Minors statement.
